Teaching Science Journal – Editorial and Promotional Design

Teaching Science is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal published by the Australian Science Teachers Association (ASTA), serving all sectors of the science education community across Australia. The journal features articles, research, and resources designed to support and inspire educators, with a strong emphasis on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education.

Collaborated with ASTA over several months to produce three editions of the journal, focusing on clean, engaging editorial layouts that enhance readability and maintain consistency with ASTA’s branding. The work covered full editorial design—from structuring articles and refining typography to managing imagery and ensuring print-ready files met high publication standards.

In addition to the journal layout, designed an advertising poster targeted at stakeholders and potential contributors, promoting the journal’s reach and value within the STEM education sector. The poster was crafted to appeal to teachers, educators, and science communicators, highlighting opportunities for engagement, contribution, and professional development.

The project emphasized clarity, accessibility, and a polished aesthetic, ensuring content was both visually appealing and relevant for the journal’s core audience of science and STEM educators.
